Asian mothers can be weird like that. My mom has told me on more than one occasion that I look better in photos than I do in person. Eeep!

Oh no! I had a friend whose mom told her she was getting her a nose job for her birthday. She didn't want a nose job.

It's too bad when parents' issues are projected onto their kids. I'm sure a lot of people do it.

    Love your blog.

What were you at the surgeon for?!

And zomg, we need to get a cupcake together...

I liked your post...and I hope you don't think you need plastic surgery!!! That's your decision to make, not your mother's...and what an awful "surprise".

I agree with you about Dark Knight, though. Mmm Christian Bale, Heath Ledger...

yeah...because that's an Asian mother problem.

Because no Jewish mothers, Black mothers, or White mothers have ever been slightly crazy. Yeah, definitely not.

I'm going to get my kids skin jobs - I would like to turn them rainbow-colored. I bet you that's going to be the new thing.

By the way, your mother is nowhere near as horrible as my roommate's mother, who actually put up a profile of her on an India-based matrimony site.

She's 23, and her mother, who went to a fortune-teller, received information that if her daughter doesn't wed by the end of this year, she won't be married for the next 7 years.

There's a joke somewhere in there I just have no idea what it is.
