I
only got stopped once in Nicosia, and in their defense I was wearing
sandals, not heels... I'm just not a huge Greek music fan, so of course
Bling is my spot. :)

Re: Nicosia: First Impressions

Hi Teresa is ANTONIS.The Cypriot who takes you toi protaras if you remeber.i like your article but is not everything like that.that face control just happen to some clubs in nicosia.i didnt read anything about the clubs in ayia napa.i agree with you about the internet.almost every year two or three new clubs open.you just go to cabrio and bling.nicosias nightlife is not just this. Too bad they don't understand your Asian-ness, but believe me, I hear you sistah! (ok that would work better if we were black women. What do Asian women say to each other?)
At least your face is approval-worthy though ;)
The Cypriots still think/know you're American thought? Not just a Japanese tourist that wandered away from the tour bus?

Re: Nicosia: First Impressions

i am glad you enjoy the place.all you have to do is make friends to the person your mingling.so relax and enjoy the every minute of it.

Re: Nicosia: First Impressions

thanks for the great update!

Re: Nicosia: First Impressions

Everyone seems to be saying you're in Greece, but Cyprus is a completely different country from Greece, right?! It seems to be a common misconception (correct me if i'm wrong!).

Greek and turkish food is AMAZING. I'm actually planning to go to Greece now for my easter break vacation, and I'm really excited!

And classes, definitely universities are most rigorous in the US, I think. It's a huge difference. And wow, your roommates...definitely going to be an interesting time! I've never really had friends like that -- I've always met people from around the world, for some reason. Well, have a great time!

Re: Nicosia: First Impressions

Ahh Greece, it is such an amazing country!! You are so lucky to be there and who cares if your classes suck!! Did you try the gyro with french fries stuffed inside? So good.

Re: Nicosia: First Impressions

you are a total mom. <3

I don't twitter because internet = slow = annoying especially when I probably have better things to do!

Re: Nicosia: First Impressions

It is amazing, albeit the showering and internet situation suck... :P

Re: Nicosia: First Impressions

just briefly glanced through your last few posts. will read more thoroughly (or, at least i have the intention to) when work isn't overwhelmingly crazy.
